Residents in the area served by the Arbuckle Public Utility District (APUD) are being asked to boil their tap water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or preparing food. The advisory follows a water and power outage that occurred today.

Bottled water is also recommended as an alternative during this period. According to APUD, “This precaution will remain in place until water quality testing confirms the supply is safe. APUD anticipates resolution within 48 hours.”

Community members with questions can contact APUD at (530) 476-2054 or Colusa County Environmental Health at (530) 458-0380.
