Census Bureau: 12% of people in Yuba County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 80,404 citizens living in Yuba County in 2021, 88% said they were only one race, while 12% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Yuba County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 69.2% or 55,657 individuals. Following them, Asian accounted for 7.2% and totaled 5,776 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Yuba County is 1.3% higher than the state average, which stands at 10.7%.
