Colusa County Transit has introduced a new initiative called the "Free Fare Days" program, set to run through 2025. This program aims to encourage the public to utilize Colusa County's transit system without any cost. Starting on December 1, 2024, the program will be available every other month until the allocated funds are exhausted.

The months designated for free fares include December, February, April, June, August, and October. This schedule will continue until resources for the program are depleted.

Colusa County Transit is committed to its mission "to provide safe, courteous, effective and efficient public service in response to the need of our customers." The transit system operates as a dial-a-ride service with fixed routes covering areas such as Colusa, Williams, Arbuckle, Maxwell, Princeton, Grimes, Sites, and Stonyford.
