The Colusa, Glenn, and Trinity Community Action Partnership (CGTCAP) has launched a needs assessment survey to gather data about community requirements in Colusa County. This initiative aims to identify gaps in services provided by the county and is open for residents to share their perspectives.
The feedback collected will inform CGTCAP’s Community Action Plan (CAP), which details the strategic approach for addressing the needs of low-income individuals and families within the county. The CAP operates under the guidance of the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) with a focus on enhancing self-sufficiency through various programs.
These programs include emergency services that offer assistance with immediate necessities such as rent, utilities, and food. Housing services are also available, providing counseling, rental assistance, and homeownership programs. Additionally, income and employment support is offered through job training, education, and employment placement opportunities. Other community services target seniors, youth, and families with health and nutrition programs along with senior centers and youth development initiatives.
Residents are encouraged to participate in this survey before it closes at the end of March 2025.
According to information provided by the Community Action Department: "The Community Action Department is committed to empowering individuals and families to achieve economic self-sufficiency. By providing a range of services and resources, the department strives to create stronger, more resilient communities."
