The Colusa County Board of Supervisors has appointed Cindy Dillard as the new Treasurer-Tax Collector. Dillard, who has been with the county as assistant treasurer-tax collector since 2016, steps into the role following Daniel Charter's retirement.
"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Dillard. As the County’s current assistant treasurer-tax collector, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will allow for a seamless transition of this critical role,” said Supervisor Gary Evans, chair of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors. “We are confident that she will continue to provide sound financial stewardship for our County."
Dillard's career in Colusa County spans 35 years. In her recent role as assistant treasurer-tax collector, she managed all operations within the office and focused on staff development and improving efficiencies. Her background also includes positions at Bank of America, Feather River State Bank, and Farm Credit.
“I am grateful for this opportunity and I am committed to building working relationships with the Board of Supervisors, County department heads and staff, and the public to produce quality work, and provide excellent service,” said Dillard.
Dillard is set to complete Charter's four-year term from January 7, 2025, through January 5, 2027. The position will be up for election in June 2026.
